ABOUT ME, ASHLEY D.
Bursting with creative energy, Ashley has the passion for learning and being a part of her community. This allows her to be an all around professional.
As an Advisor at Valencia State College, she provides assistance in creating paths to success for students. Seeing individuals excel and reach their full potential is a reward in itself. Ashley is also evolved with Take Stock In Children as a mentor. She volunteers her time to mentor students in education, life and in the professional field. Not only does she meet one-on-one with student of all grade levels, she is active in the Valencia Promise success workshops that provide student with resources and tools to be successful individuals.
A proud AlumKnight, Ashley, reached a B.A. in Advertising & Public Relations at the University of Central Florida. In her studies she was able to earn certifications and fall in-love with the field of Ad/PR through hands on experiences at diverse internships she worked for. Ashley was a part of Ad Club, Quotes, FPRA, Miss UCF, Swing Knights and Volunteer UCF. Her love for people shined through these extra curricular actives which allowed her to grow as an individual.
Ashley in the reigning Miss St. Augustine USA 2018 and with be representing the nation's oldest city, Saint Augustine, Florida in the upcoming state competition. With the previous title of Miss Melbourne USA 2017 and her experience in competing in previous beauty pageants, she hopes to be a positive role model and public figure for the community.
Community is very important to Ashley as she is involve in many non-profits and supports many causes. along with trying to launch an environmental awareness non-profit of her own, The Backyard Project, She is an ambassador for The Gift Of Life which supports and raises awareness of premature births and local NICUs.
